This October marks a momentous milestone — the 20th anniversary of DefendDefenders. For two decades, we have stood alongside human rights defenders across the East and Horn of Africa, providing protection, capacity building, and solidarity.
20 Years of Impact
Since our founding in 2005, we have supported thousands of human rights defenders facing risks, threats, and attacks. Our journey has been marked by challenges, but also by extraordinary resilience.
Looking Forward
As we celebrate this milestone, we also look to the future. The next 20 years will bring new challenges, but with our global community of supporters, we remain committed to the protection of those who defend human rights.
